The design brief for Mumbai’s prestigious Breach Candy Hospital housing Deluxe and Super Deluxe rooms outlined the need for the space to be clinically appropriate while still being aesthetically pleasing. The rooms have simple yet soothing decor with fuss-free materials such as vitrified tiles with zero joints for better hygiene, soothing surfaces and maintainable grid ceilings. The additional use of veneers on furniture with a touch of wooden fringes and indirect lighting provides a much-welcomed feeling of pleasantness.
The lobby, with its Italian marble-cladded columns and egg-shaped canopy, is indeed welcoming, and the flooring, which reflects the shape in marble and black granite enriches the space further.
