Created with clean lines that would stand the test of time given the hospital’s location in a small town the hospital has a simple but pleasing decor. The ICU, designed to be clinically functional, easy to maintain and aesthetically pleasing, displays a combination of colours and the usage of glazed sliding doors to allow for easy monitoring of patients. The vast waiting area and passages are well lit with a variety of light fixtures. The dividing walls between waiting areas have glass bricks that perform the dual function of allowing light to enter while still providing the necessary privacy. A thoughtful touch was added in the long passages where patients often stroll – the stainless steel grab rails are backlit providing and easy grip while also lighting the path during darker hours.
The Super Deluxe rooms have the provision to be partly partitioned for the patient and attendant, with utilities such as a wardrobe, sofa-cum-bed, TV and a small pantry. The flooring has been given a grid-like appearance with tiles and white composite marble. The ceiling design matches the floor pattern. The Deluxe rooms though simpler in décor ensure similar comfort while remaining low-maintenance for the purpose of hygiene.
